Wow - can you believe this is the last week of term?
Because of a number of different things happening this week, our programme will be based on our specific next steps, and a range of learning activities to help you work on these. You need to timetable your learning (either in a diary or online calender) and have completed the compulsory tasks by Friday. See the shared calendar for details of workshop times and other events happening.
Tasks highlighted in yellow are the compulsory tasks - a roll will be marked at each workshop, so make sure you come to the ones you need to attend. You will need to book into the workshop at a time you wish to attend : Link for bookings:
Maths Workshops
(attendance of these is based on your response to the Google form last week.
1) * Division using decimal numbers - Problems like 2.76 divided by 1.2
2a & 2b) * Ratios - Problems like - I bought 21 apples for $14. How much would 36 apples cost? (Ratio)
Maths Compulsory tasks
If you did not attend a workshop, you must complete 3 problem solving sets, with your set group.
Study ladder - Everyone must complete a minimum of 3 tasks, with a focus on your own net learning steps
Literacy Workshops
Short story planning - everyone must book in and attend at least 1 of these workshops - you may do more if you wish.
Reading character review - everyone must attend 1 workshop
Science
What is the science behind last weeks experiment? you need to complete the set Science tasks in Study ladder, and any other research you wish to do, to support your writing - THEN you must draft write an explanation - in your science book (this is the 2nd section of a Conclusion)
